Blind Mouse on Mars

Blind Mouse on Mars is an entertaining game with dumb cards, but can also be helpful in learning and practicing.

This is a brother site of Vakegér game for planets like moon and mars, and was developed under the collaboration of the Department of Cartography and Geoinformatics and Cosmic Materials Space Research Group at Eötvös University, Budapest and the Institute for Geoinformation and Cartography at TU Wien. It is recommended to anyone who likes playing to test his/her knowledge of maps and geography.

Usage: The players must register first. After registration you can join the game using the chosen name and password. Once logged in, you have to choose a category and art of the game and then start the game...

  1. The goal of the game is to place 10 objects on the globe. Score depends on the number of the objects positioned, the positioning errors and the time used.
    Drag the 10 random items of the selected category to the globe, where you can refine their position. At the end of the game the exact location of the objects appears on the globe. Clicking the placemarks displays short description if the objects.
  2. The goal of the game is to choose 10 randomly selected objects on the globe from four possible answers. The result depends on the number of correct answers and the time used.

The globe can be rotated with the left mouse button, and zoomed using the wheel. You can use the controls in the upper right corner as well.

System Requirements: The Google Earth plugin is required. The game is tested on Mozilla Firefox 3.6. Minimum recommended screen resolution: 1200 * 800 pixels.
